An imaginary conversation between me and my inner conscious (I name it X) –

  • I am feeling lonely X.
  • You always feel like that. Tell me today, why?
  • Why? Um… It’s difficult to explain.
  • Tell me.
  • May be because… I can’t really feel that I belong here.
  • You mean people?
  • Yes.
  • Why?
  • I can’t really mix with most of the people I meet. I behave nicely, I hurt nobody, but still I feel I can’t understand them.
  • You are an outlier Nemo.
  • Meaning?
  • You are not like the mass. You think differently, you feel differently. Look at your name – “Nemo” i.e. “No one”.
  • What do you mean? We are all humans, aren’t we?
  • Yes. But does that mean every human being is identical? Just like their physical properties differ, shouldn’t their outlook also differ?
  • Yes. But why isn’t there people like me? Who can understand the “real” me?
  • There are Nemo. Must be. You have to find them.
  • How can I find? How will I know?
  • You will know when you meet someone like you. It’s difficult to find outliers, but there are people like you who feels exactly like you – sort of left out from mass.
  • Hmm.. Maybe it’s better if I stay alone then. At least from inside.
  • …..
  • X? Don’t remain silent please.
  • Ok, stay alone. but don’t feel lonely. Do what you like, write what you feel and remember – there are other outliers as well. You are not alone.

  1. I have a couple posts called “conversation with myself” based on a Jason Mraz song haha, it reminded me of this. I agree with reactionarytales, we’re all outliers, so put yourself out there so you can see the ones you vibe with πŸ™‚

  2. I really love these inner dialogues, as you might have noticed. They expand my consciousness in ways I never would have thought possible. I’m glad to see I’m not the only “lonely” one talking to my higher self. πŸ™‚
