Work….. Again

I hate to post this but unfortunately again I am stuck for around two weeks. I know my readers are really angry with me 😂 but I am helpless at this moment. I hate to disappoint my readers like this but I promise after two weeks I will be regular in posting. I am so busy that I can’t even read your posts 😢😢.. Please bear with me for another two weeks please.. 💐

Once again, a big SORRY for my readers..💐💐💐💐

Work in Progress….

My apologies to all my readers. I am extremely busy currently and hardly getting any time at all to write and even read your stories. I know my readers are expecting me to complete my long pending story and read new ones as well – but frankly I don’t have enough time to think now to write.

I don’t want to write in haste because I don’t write for the sake of writing only – I write with all my understanding and feelings. I am really sorry to be so inactive currently but I promise I will be regular again after sometime. Meanwhile I will be writing occasionally when I find time.. 🙂

Thanks for understanding.. 🙂

Mystery Blogger Award

First of all, let me thank Mark for nominating me for this great award. I apologize for replying pretty late, because I was pretty busy and also trying to complete my first attempt to write a thriller in my blog – which I finished yesterday.

Mark Jacobs is one of my favourite writers here and his stories displays his versatility in writing. Do visit Mark – you will be amazed.

Questions for me :

What does writing do you for you, as far as your day-to-day mood?

It gives me avenue to express myself, my thoughts, my imaginations. I believe it’s pretty necessary for an introvert person like myself, who is always somewhat alone, even if laughing with the crowd.

Do you believe that one does not need to read, in order to write?

No, I don’t believe it. Writing something is not very easy. Your thoughts can’t always be processed into words without reading a lot. Furthermore, your own outlook, your knowledge get more and more enhanced when you read more and more. Reading is essential to write something worthy.

Do you have a personal favourite blog post you have read in the past month?

Personally, persons I follow and also my followers – all have great blog content. But a few days back I read a poem of chaos-xd which I really felt to be “dangerously beautiful”.

Questions to my nominees :

  • Write four things which define you.
  • Have you ever experienced critical comment (justified or unjustified) on your posts or comments? How did you you deal with it?
  • Do you love reading? Name the favourite book and tell the reason.
  • If you are given an option to live the rest of the life in Mars – what is the one thing you will essentially take with you? (Of course not water, food etc. like that 🙂  )

My Nominees :

And all my followers, please consider yourselves to be nominated !!

Just Some Thoughts

The first thought that came into my mind after seeing today’s daily prompt was about my hobbies. Two things are complementary to my life – music and books – and very coincidentally, today is “World Book Day” !!

I am an avid listener of music and a voracious reader of books. About books if you ask, I prefer to read more of classic literature and of course historical books with proper references. Writings of Charles Dickens, Alexandre Dumas, Jules Verne and most importantly, Leo Tolstoy inspire me a lot. Sometimes I feel alone and probably that’s why I actually started to write blog, because I don’t prefer writing in social media and count likes from my friends. You know I like to imagine a lot. Some of these imaginations are based on life’s hard and realistic lessons (practically I am a realist, somewhat optimist but not fully), and some totally depicts a new, dream world of ever lasting joy and happiness (am I an escapist? No, but I like to dream). I guess you already know these from my posts !!

History is one of my favorite subjects and currently the book I am reading is William Shirer’s “The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich”. I must say that the analytical and liberal mindset I have developed today is significantly due to the repeated analysis of every events from numerous points of views – and not just blindly supporting the “common” belief.

I saved music for the last because this is something without which there is no moment of my life. And again my preference is classical music. Let me tell you, I have no formal training of music but my grandpa was a very learned man and he bought a lot of those grand, old vinyl records from different sources. Later my mom and my maternal uncle bought a lot more – of different categories. The musical culture at our home has imbibed classical music in our heart and soul. Sadly I never saw my grandpa and I feel I lost a great opportunity. Of famous Western classical composers – Mozart, Beethoven, Holst, Chopin, Tchaikovsky and many more are in my favorites list.

Just now I was listening to one of my favorites of Holst – “Neptune, the Mystic”. May be I prefer mysticism more as I always love the quest for the unknown !! If you are a regular listener of classical music, I am sure you must have heard this. But I would like to share this for everyone. I prefer to listen this while alone. I am sorry I couldn’t upload from my laptop as it’s not supported in free version of WordPress.

G. Holst – The planets Op. 32 – Neptune, the Mystic – Berliner Philharm. – H. von Karajan

What’s that in your life for which you can use the word “avid” appropriately? What are your favorite books, writers and composition? Do share your views..

Measure : For Everything?

“Measure” – so common word in our everyday lives, isn’t it? We measure everything all the time, right from the starting of our day. We measure the amount of bread and butter we take for breakfast. We take measures for creating our new garden space. We measure our journey time while planning for a long drive.

We measure the amount of money required to buy our monthly groceries and staples. We minutely consider our cost-benefit analysis while measuring the amount of money to be set aside to buy a new car or a new house. In short, we measure, or try to measure almost every tangible assets of ours.

But, the problem begins when we start measuring the intangible assets. We try to measure happiness, comparing with the amount of money in possession. We feel jealous at others happiness and want to buy more happiness by buying more exquisite items. Sometimes, sadly enough, we consider love also as a commodity. Our integrity, our self respect, our moral values get compromised. It’s not that money is the culprit every time, but for most of the cases, economic issues get involved in deep roots.

Why measure intangible assets? You can never really know what love is until you feel it. You can’t experience the true happiness until you have peace of mind. The value of your integrity, self respect comes from the solidarity and honesty of your soul. There is no materialistic unit in this world – be it money or anything else, with the help of which you measure or compare these assets. No market in this world or universe sells these invaluable assets of our lives.

These intangible assets of the world are the blessings for a lovely life. Let’s not pollute it with our “sins”.
